daily details

today felt like a very long day, but not in a bad way.

i had some errands to run in the morning and as i was about to leave i got a craving for an iced soy chai latte from starbucks. how convenient that the new local target has a starbucks inside. so off i went and i told myself i wasn't going to look at the clothes but alas i got sucked in. although i did manage to find a cute dress for a wedding in texas that i'm headed to next weekend. so it wasn't a splurge purchase. i knew i wanted to buy a dress anyway. :)

then i stopped by the local christian bookstore to drop off some postcards for our benefit concert coming up in a couple weeks. from there i hit my bank to deposit a couple checks, then to the bank that hbb uses to deposit more checks. at this point my chai had run its course and i had to hit up wawa to empty my extremely full bladder. haha!

then it was off to the grocery store to pick up food for the car wash volunteers on saturday. while i was there i got a call from my brother that his car had broken down and he needed me to pick him up from work. so i headed up there, stopped in to see my bff and my kasey girl and then we were off. but on our way back to town i had to stop and send some money via western union to a friend of mine in zambia. then i had to call him and give him the info he'd need in order to pick up the money. convos with friends in zambia are never short so i chatted with him while i drove to our next stop: lunch.

by this time steve and i were starving so we hit up our favorite pizza shop. they were gracious enough to let me put the concert postcards on their counter. hopefully people will pick them up and show up! then it was finally off to the office to get some things done. after spending the afternoon there we headed home and steve stole mom's car to go hang with friends. mom and i put together a new chair that got delivered. i picked it out online and it matches perfectly in our living room. mom was so impressed. :)

dad came home from work and we headed off to bonefish grill for a delicious dinner. seriously it was so good. mom and i split salmon and tuna and it was perfect! we ended it with a yummy strawberry shortcake (my fav) and then hit up marshall's home goods. we found a really nice outdoor wicker furniture set and i lovingly convinced them to purchase it. we got a new lamp, mirror and basket for shoes by the door. mom and i are going to pickup the furniture tomorrow. i am so excited to have something cozy to sit on while i enjoy our ritual campfires during the summer!

when we got home i helped them hang a couple pictures and the mirror. the room is almost complete! we're just waiting for a couple more pieces to get delivered and then we'll be all set. can't wait!

see, so i did have a busy and productive day. i haven't written a detailed post about my day in a while. i think i know why. they're kind of weird. haha. oh well!
